Celebrating 75 Years of Advancing Animal Health and Veterinary Education

This year Bristol Veterinary School celebrates 75 years of educating veterinary students and advancing animal health and wellbeing. The Langford Trust for Animal Health and Welfare was originally founded in 1990 to support the work of this vital institution, establishing world class facilities for didactic learning and hospital environments with clinical cases for students to gain hands on experience. The Trust is currently focusing on fundraising for clinical research projects at the vet school to help advance veterinary science and encourage veterinary students into vital research pathways.

From improving livestock welfare to tackling food security and antimicrobial resistance, using artificial intelligence to detect disease and working to conserve highly-threatened mammals, Bristol Veterinary School has helped to improve veterinary medicine, animal welfare and health around the world. You can read more about Bristol Veterinary School’s successes and milestones over the course of its history here.
