A busy five days with plenty of dogs ‘visiting’. We were overflowing during the exciting show jumping final; as I am sure everyone on the estate could hear!! It is always a joy to welcome our ‘regulars’ back each year and to catch up with those of you who we only get to see at Badminton. We look forward to seeing you all again this May.
As always, we are grateful to our students and all volunteers who help to man the crèche but special thanks go to volunteers Chris Steadman and Rick Radice for their unstinting conscientiousness. They have both been with us every year since 2002, sadly due to health issues Christine will not be with us this year. It has been with their help and support and quite a few cups of the best coffee on site from Francini that we sail through every year.
PLEASE NOTE For the benefit of all, and for those who only visit on Sunday especially, we take bookings on Sunday morning for the use of the facility during the show jumping final in the afternoon. Although we are able to cater for over 100 dogs the cage sizes vary and so we also need to ensure we have sufficient kennels relevant to the size of ‘guest.’ This is a system we use every year and it has worked well; for us and for our ‘customers’.
Please note that there is no need to book a kennel at any other time during the event. Simply turn up when you need to use us. The crèche is open from 9am until 5pm from Wednesday until Sunday. Your dog is welcome to stay with us for a maximum of two hours at a time; the fee for that service is £8 per dog. However there is a penalty fee if the dog is not collected on time.
