The Langford Trust for Animal Health and Welfare exists to relieve suffering and further animal welfare by promoting the practice, advancement and teaching of veterinary science and fostering public education in health and welfare.
To achieve its aims, the Trust supports the University of Bristol Veterinary School in funding clinical research and equipment, as well as clinical facilities for the treatment and hospitalisation of animals at the institution.

Our History
The Langford Trust was founded in 1990 with an aim to improve teaching facilities for a rapidly growing number of undergraduate veterinary and veterinary nurse students at the University of Bristol’s Veterinary School.
Over the past 30 years, the Trust’s work has assisted in funding world class facilities for didactic learning and established hospital environments supplying the clinical cases for students to gain hands on experience.
1949 The University of Bristol School of Veterinary Science founded.
1990 The Langford Trust for Animal Health and Welfare is founded and registered as a UK charity.
HRH The Duchess of Cornwall opens The Alborada Building at Bristol Veterinary School
